Mosquitoes Suck

Bad Poetry Day is Monday, August 18th.
In honor of this illustrious holiday here is my very own "bad" poem:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Mosquitoes suck,
Because they do.

It's all a matter of perspective, isn't it?

  1. They just do, indeed! I'm liking the idea that BPDay coincides with my brother's birthday

  2. I think you may win the best 'bad' poetry, Bridget. I know that you worked so hard at this, right? Wish we were really back to school. The older students would love it!

  3. Ha! My son's favorite is "Roses are Red/Violets are Violet/That's why they're called Violet." Thanks for giving us a new holiday to "celebrate" :-)

  4. Love it, Tabatha! Your son is a smart boy, violets are violet, not blue! There are some kooky "holidays" out there - glad you enjoyed this one. = )

  5. I hadn't heard about Monday's celebration. May I share your poem on my library blog on Monday? There's no nice way to put that, is there? It's bad poetry day, so let me share yours. Cringe. Actually, I find your poem quite clever--so bad, it's good!
