Ha, Linda! That was funny! Bridget, I love to imagine you writing your poems, laughing all the while. Another fun one here, especially with the video for context.
Thanks, Jama! Smidgey is terrifying in so many ways, let me tell you! I look forward to our cow bells returning come spring. (Right now our neighborhood cows are wintering in their barn, a few meters below where this video was taken.)
Your camera roll poems continue to deliver humour, delight and surprises, Bridget. Springboarding off your inspiring idea, I have been connecting Iphone images to Haiku in my writer's notebook. Yet another place where ideas lurk...
Oh, my, that sweet cow jumping (milk shake) has me laughing every time I watch it (and I've watched it a bunch of times). It is precious. "I saunter over...Never mind." Made me laugh too.
Ha! Silly cow. I think I spotted an udder shutter. Wait...never mind!
ReplyDelete"udder shutter" = brilliant, Linda! I love how your mind works. :)

ReplyDeleteThanks, Molly. I do laugh by myself. (I guess that explains a lot. ;) )
DeleteBarking cows trigger my "jump" reflex, too :)
ReplyDeleteSmidgey was indifferent until the teenage cow decided to investigate. Not the best way to make friends in the neighborhood.
DeleteSo fun Bridget, and the innocent cow bells set your poem up nicely, thanks! ☺️
ReplyDeleteWe are serenaded by those bells from April to October. :)
DeleteHow funny! The bark seems to be coming from the cow until I read your poem. Thanks for the laugh.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Margaret! Yeah, Smidgey thought we were going to a Bark-B-Q. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's funny, Bridget! Thanks for the good cheer this morning.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susan! Your comment is good cheer, too! :)
DeleteBridget, another laugh! I can always count on you for a laugh or two (Smidgey and cow).
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol! I love it when my dog and the neighborhood cows cooperate for a funny moment...and I have my phone at the ready! ;)
DeleteHah!! Smidgey is terrifying cows now. Cow bells are a beautiful sound! ~ Jama

DeleteSmidgey made me smile and I need more of that! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYes! Mission accomplished! And you made ME smile with your comment. Thank you!
DeleteJust plain fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rose!
DeleteHa! I thought that was the cow, too! Smidgey really gets around!
ReplyDeleteSmidgey was completely uninterested in the cows until this one approached. She has her boundaries. ;)

ReplyDeleteYay! That's awesome, Alan! I hope you'll share your haiku hijinks!
DeleteOh, my, that sweet cow jumping (milk shake) has me laughing every time I watch it (and I've watched it a bunch of times). It is precious. "I saunter over...Never mind." Made me laugh too.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Denise! The cows tend to be more curious about Smidgey than she is about them...until they get too close. :)
DeleteSuch an alarming noise from a tiny cow-like creature!
ReplyDeleteYes, Smidgey knows how to sound the alarm...and sound LIKE an alarm. True talent. ;)
DeleteWhat fun! My dog is fascinated by the neighborhood cows and horses
ReplyDeleteSmidgey is pretty indifferent to all...until they approach her, then watch out! Thanks for commenting! :)
DeleteLOL! I don't think I've ever seen a cow flinch! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteOh, poor sweet cow! :) It sounded like Smidgey was saying, "Hey!" :D
