There's my puppy
laying on the floor,
sleeping, snuggling
that dog can snore.
There's my sister
talking on her phone,
yada-yada, blah-blah-blah
super loud ringtone.
There's my mom
coming in from a run,
red faced, panting
sweating a ton.
There's my dad
coming home from work,
mumbling, grumbling
his boss is a jerk.
I can imagine a sensory-sensitive child loving this poem, Bridget. All the sounds at the end of the day as the family gathers -- it's a lot to pay attention to! My favorite line is "yada-yada, blah-blah-blah."
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura! To a little person I think they really hear "yada-yada, blah-blah-blah" when someone is yacking on the phone constantly.
