Most trick or treaters
are big time eaters
of good ol' Halloween candy.
Whether they be witches
or ghouls with stitches,
as doorbell ringers they're dandy.
Imagine my fright
on Halloween night
when my candy bowl is bare!
I rush to the store,
buy Snickers and more.
It's expensive, but I don't care.
Let the doorbell ring,
to the door I bring
more candy than will fit in my bowl.
Each trick or treater
is that much sweeter
because of the candy I dole.
