The juxtaposition of muck and homework here made me laugh. It must be nearing the end of summer! Thanks for the post.
Thank you, Sarah, for the comment. Fish do swim in schools after all... =)
Clever!
Thanks, Catherine! =)
Hi Bridget, I've been on the beach & we spot the fish by the ripples. I love that you call them their sighs, will remember that.
Thanks, Linda! Oh, the beach...we have a trip planned for mid October to visit the beach - long overdue. *sigh* =)
These are delightful -- I feel refreshed after reading them. Wonderful observations . . .
Thank you, Jama! Sometimes pond*ering just happens naturally... =)
Your post title is all kinds of perfect. (and so are your haiku...I, too, love the home-work!)
Thank you, Mary Lee! Good thing I wasn't looking a creek or I'd have to name my post creek*ing haiku. LOL =)
I love the vision of ripples echoing the fishes' sighs. Lovely! :)
Thank you, Myra! Makes you wonder what fish have to sigh about. =)
I love the unusual perspective of the underside of the lilies -- I would never have thought of them as umbrellas for the fish!
Thanks, Keri! My daughter pointed out that since fish are wet anyway, do they really need an umbrella? hee hee =)
Wonderful haiku– such fresh, eye-opening perspective, Bridget.
Thanks, Michelle! High praise from a haiku creator herself. =)
Thank you for taking the time to comment! :)
