23 words about a photo on my phone camera roll poetry series
Being a language learner at *ahem*-years-old is daunting to say the least.
Most days it's terror-inducing when rapid-fire SchweizerDeutsch is directed at me.
But, I persevere. Schritt für Schritt...

Did you have a chance to check out my new websites?
I spruced up both weewordsforweeones.com AND bridgetmagee.com!

WOW! Bridget, your website is fabulous! It's full of positive and enthusiastic information with a pinch of your classic sense of humor. Bravo! I've had "make a website" on my to do list for a while now. I'd love to sit in on a workshop on how you made yours!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks so much Linda! A workshop could be a possibility in the future... :)
DeleteYou did it yourself! Looks great, Bridget. You inspire! xo
ReplyDeleteFrom the person who inspires me regularly...swoon! :)
DeleteI love bridgetmagee.com! Good job! 😍
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tabatha! Steep learning curve, but I got there... :)
DeleteYour websites look great, Bridget. I always love your humor.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks, Rose! Humor is essential in all things in life. :)
DeleteI like the intros you created for the new website, Bridget, somehow didn't remember what exactly you were teaching. It's too bad our little ones in the US aren't starting languages that early! Good going for the extra work on the websites!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Linda! Teaching English abroad was a good use of my classroom teaching/elementary librarian skills from the US. Yes, it is SUCH a shame that language learning is not introduced (revered) earlier in the US.
DeleteBridget, I am impressed by your websites. They are highly visual inviting the reader into your glorious space. Congratulations on a job well done without outside help. I am with Linda M-a workshop on how to create an exciting new website would be wonderful. Let us know.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Carol! My wheels are turning when it comes to creating a website workshop... :)
DeleteBridget, I hope you keeping 'dering to learn. So sweet. You always keep us laughing. Your website updates are looking good. Impressive!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Denise! The 'dering' is hard...so is the die, das, dem, and den! So many Deutsch articles, so little headspace to learn them. ;)
DeleteCongrats on the new websites, and your persistence in learning. I'm on 600 something or other days on duolingo.
ReplyDeleteYay, Buffy! Duolingo has helped me tremendously...600+ days is nothing to sneeze at! Well done. :)
Delete'Stickability' in all things is a wonderful attribute, Bridget. I congratulate you on your language endeavours and your digital wizardry. Keep flying that fearless flag of a can do-er!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Alan! My fearless flag is flying alongside my freak flag. ;)
DeleteThey both are colorful, interesting and your voice is engaging in both. I’m so impressed by anyone learning a Germanic language!
ReplyDeleteThank you! German is not for the faint of heart...and Swiss German is next level coronary inducing. :)
DeleteEverything is all spiffy indeed! Good for you, dir verbessering in all these ways. May much good come of it!
ReplyDeleteBitte schön!
DeleteSchritt für Schritt indeed! That's my life motto - and the new websites look GREAT!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Anastasia. Nice to know I have a kindred Schritt'er by my side. :)
DeleteBridget, I am a second-language learner, too. Español. I know enough to know I don't know much. But I love the classes! One classmate is in her 90s, another in her 80s.
ReplyDeleteSo cool, Susan! I hope I'm somewhat proficient before I'm in my 80's or 90's! But if not, I'll be one of those learners. :)
DeleteSuper impressed by all the website/blog sprucing! Gorgeous!
