Oh, Smidgey! That is so cute! The rhythm and rhyme here are precious, and that you kept it at 23 words is always magical to me. Smidgey's providing dog hair benevolently made me laugh.
Thank you for taking the time to comment! Unfortunately Blogger has been known to eat some comments...sorry! If this happened to you, please email me direct: bridget@bridgetmagee.com. I promise I'll answer. :)
Smidgey always provides inspiration! "The Ruler of Fleece"--ha!
ReplyDeleteGotta love Smidgey! I also love "the ruler of fleece."
ReplyDeleteNot all dogs could be "the ruler of fleece", they wouldn't fit! Love the rhyming, Bridget!
ReplyDeleteSmidgey rules that kingdom well! So much fun, Bridget. xo
ReplyDeleteGreat title! I just washed the dogs' blankets...there was enough hair in the lint trap to recreate a small mammal. How can they shed so much??
ReplyDeleteI think a warm pile of laundry would be a dream place to land, especially if it's fleece! And I might even say that line as well!
ReplyDeleteThat Smidgey!! Another fun poem by the most poetic of pets. :)
ReplyDeleteBetter he be queen of the laundry than me. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a Diva cat who loves laundry baskets, especially the ones with warm, clean clothes. Such a cutie. How can you say no?
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean about the connection between my "lap full of cat" and your Smidgey. It's all about the fur!!!
ReplyDeleteDog hair? Your dog sheds? (like, dog-hair-in-your-ice-cubes-shed?) A small price to pay for Her Majesty's company. -wink wink
